Purpose
The purpose of The One Program is to match aspiring students and junior professionals with senior, established mentors of respective professional fields, so they can learn from the mentors’ real life experiences, acquiring essential soft skills to thrive while building into their practical talents. We strive to gather brilliant minds from Taiwan, Silicon Valley, and Chicago and match them with senior mentors and peer mentors in the US to establish meaningful connections, nurture career development and advance in personal growth.

Our Goals
Students and young professionals in Taiwan and the US will learn career and life experiences from their matched US senior mentors and peer mentors, and receive feedback and market inputs for their future planning. The mentorship program will also serve as a networking bridge between Taiwanese students and professionals in the US. Throughout the program, junior professionals will be able to meet with senior mentors and peer mentors to develop professional and interpersonal skills.

Current undergraduates, graduate students, or professionals who have under 3-year working experience in Taiwan and the US who want to improve and drive to an advanced level for their careers and lives.

A filled application form for The One Program on the website; a resume addressing academic & employment backgrounds; an essay of 300-500 words to clearly address the purpose for attending this mentoring program.

Who participate as mentees benefit from advising, guidance and coaching from a mentor as well as formal and informal networking opportunities.

Mentors and mentees are required to meet once a month, for about an hour, over a period of approximately five months. Mentees will accomplish a final project assisted by mentors and peer mentors. During the program, mentees will engage with peers and participate in monthly speech sessions. 

The selected mentees will receive the announcement by email on Friday, March 8th, 2022.

Mentees and Mentors are matched based on preferred background and experiences listed in their registration profiles.
